Mbodies aligns its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Pilates Teacher Training with the latest UK insurance company requirements

The UK Fitness Industry as a whole accepts you as a qualified Pilates Instructor by virtue of passing your First Pilates certification course – any additional Pilates instructor training need only be CPD! To the benefit of Pilates Teachers themselves, insurance companies have re-focussed to align with the training needs of the individual Pilates Instructor, rather than the somewhat commercially influenced rules of Pilates Instructor Training Companies. In the past, the Insurance Industry in the UK had considered Pilates as a more niche discipline, and they were prepared to adopt the certification requirements stated by Individual Pilates training companies.   This post is the follow-up to the last post titled 'The first face-to-face Mbodies, post-rehab breast cancer course, since lockdown - the prequel. Freeland Village Hall Freeland   Ready and Waiting To recap - It is Saturday morning 8am on 26th June 2021 and Mbodies Training Academy events team is set up in Freeland Village Hall, Oxfordshire for their first face-to-face larger group education since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. The course is Mbodies 16 hour Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer  running over the weekend titled  Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Post Operative Rehab Course The venue was rated as COVID-19 enabled for 16 people and was fully booked with 15 students plus course tutor Imelda Noble.   ‘Spot the difference’ As we prepared on Saturday Morning 26 th June 2021 for Mbodies Training Academy’s  first face-to-face education since lockdown, it felt a bit like setting up a 'spot the difference' game:  6 Physiotherapists, 7 Pilates Instructors a Yoga specialist instructor and an advanced fitness professional were about to arrive for two days of Pink Ribbon Post-Rehab Instructor Training and what would in 2019 have been just a routine set-up was anything but that today. The arrival The Arrival No more lonely sign-in Sheet to greet you – instead ‘Lateral-Flow’ Covid 19 tests for those who had not brought photographic proof of their own negative test earlier that morning. .  Type IIR medical-grade disposable masks: the new requirement to be admitted to the course; as well as the compulsory sanitiser to use when entering and leaving the premises!
